Leo Blech, pianist and a former conductor of the Berlin State Opera and Royal Opera in Stockholm, was most known for his elegant performances of a variety of German and Italian operas, but also composed a large number of works. Blech studied composition with Engelbert Humperdinck. His Gavotte for cello & piano combines the traditional baroque dance form with a baroque style melody and a romantic harmony. |
